Wow, what fun we've been having with our community college classes!  For the summer we did two artisan bread classes and one gluten free class.

Continuing Education classes for the fall are posted on line now through South Puget Sound Community College.  To register for classes go to: http://www.campusce.net/SPSCC/category/category.aspx?C=&S=25

True to his word, Carl is coming back to the Hains House in October.  We still have a few spots left, so now is your chance to sign up for this amazing class.  This is a once in a life time opportunity!  Not only will you make the best bread ever, you will also meet some passionate bread enthusiasts.   I promise!  Call me for more details of the class...my number is 360-791-8928.  Details are also available on the lessons tab.

The first official event occured at the Hains House this past week.  Carl Shavitz of the Artisan Bread School in England came and taught his five day Artisan Bread Class.  Six participants joined him in the class.  My heartfelt thanks for their generous contribution to making the first event a success.   Their picture is posted on the Lessons page.  We are looking forward to a repeat class at some time in the future.  Stay tuned for more details.

I have been doing a lot of thinking lately.  It is so wonderful to have a dream.  What is even more wonderful is to have others share the dream with you.  It then occurs to you that it is not really about what you do, but who you do it with.  And that is most amazing.  Thanks to all of you who have stayed the course, over the long term and those of you who have most recently offered your most unexpected and wonderful love and support.  All you out there, know who you are.  I am most grateful.  How about the rest of you?  Share your stories of unexpected good deeds that surprised and saved you!
